Gives a nice mild flavor. Less intense than hickory and mesquite, but slightly heavier compared to smoking wood from fruit trees. Chips are suitable for hot smoking in your charcoal or gas BBQ. Preferably use a smoker box or throw a handful (possibly soaked in liquid) of chips into the charcoal.
